The Gentlemen Leadership Society is grateful for the support of its GLS Family benefactors. These individuals partnered with the KSU Foundation to consolidate existing endowments into a primary GLS Family Scholarship Fund, which will serve as an ongoing source of support for GLS student scholars through strategic management and philanthropic giving.
Throughout his nearly 50-year career as an estate planning attorney in Concordia, Kansas, Dana Brewer assisted numerous clients in carrying out their wishes to establish scholarships and other bequests to benefit K-State and its students. A Wildcat himself, he attended the university to earn his bachelor’s degree in sociology and pre-law in 1974.
I served several leadership roles at K-State — in my fraternity, student government and several campuswide organizations. It was an invaluable experience, and I’m pleased that other young men will have similar positive opportunities through GLS.

Brewer has always maintained a strong connection to K-State. He and his wife, Tina—who holds a master’s degree in education from K-State—are life members of the K-State Alumni Association. Now retired and living in Wichita, he’s a passionate advocate for the elimination of polio worldwide. His parents, Dean and Irma Brewer, were both afflicted with it—his mother while pregnant with him.
